LED (light emitting diode) are the next generation in lighting as they are brighter, last longer and use less power. Unlike halogen or fluorescent lights, LED do not waste large amounts of energy into heat, and do not rely on chemicals to produce brighter light. For this reason LED lights do not burn themselves and are much safer to run. By using less power and lasting longer than other types of lights, LEDs can save you money on electricity bills and on not having to regularly replacing globes.
